Why the Pamir Mountains?
Often called "The Roof of the World," the Pamir Mountains are home to one of the world's most iconic motorcycle routes.

"The Pamir isn't just famous because it's remote," says Fabio. "It still represents authentic exploration."
Stefania adds:
"Travelling along roads that were once part of the Silk Road gives this journey a special meaning. It feels like travelling through history."
An Adventure with New Challenges
Fabio and Stefania usually organise their own motorcycle expeditions, but for this destination they chose an organised tour.
"The logistics are much more complex than our usual trips," explains Fabio. "Joining an organised expedition allows us to focus on the experience instead."
For Stefania, travelling with like-minded people is also part of the adventure.
Preparing for Changing Conditions
The Pamir Mountains offer spectacular scenery, but also demanding riding conditions.
The journey includes:
- High mountain passes above 4,000 metres
- Remote gravel and dirt roads
- Cold mornings and evenings, even during summer
- Rapidly changing mountain weather
